One of the most popular microphones ever made must be the Shure SM7B. White Noir Even today,
this incredibly popular microphone is the standard kit on many podcasts, but it’s quite a difficult model to drive, especially for a non-expert. For those without any audio engineering knowledge, Shure created a dynamic microphone that looked similar to o the SM7B but was easy to use and had both USB and XLR connectors.
The result was the Shure MV7. It looks like the original SM7B but was designed with streamers and content creators. However, until now, the MV7 has only been available in silver or black finishes, but now there’s an elegant new look available and it’s called White Noir. It also looks stunning and comes across well when video streaming a podcast.
The limited-edition MV7 White Noir has a striking black and white color combination that provides streamers and creators with a contemporary new option for featuring on their podcasts. Available only while stocks last, the Shure MV7 White Noir can be preordered from today and will begin shipping from Amazon on Monday, August 15.
The Shure MV7 White Noir can be used with the excellent ShurePlus MOTIV desktop app whenever the mic is connected using its USB Micro port. The app makes easy work of dialing-in desired settings and includes Auto Level and Manual modes. Both modes feature built-in headphone monitoring and monitor mix, plus control of the appearance of the microphone’s touch panel with its live metering LEDs. And by selecting Night Mode on the MOTIV app, it’s even possible to tone down the brightness of the LEDs.
The Auto Level mode is ideal for anyone wanting a “set it and forget it” microphone that will automatically adjust gain and compression settings in real-time. The Manual mode is for those who want total control over the sound the MV7 produces, including gain adjustment, EQ presets, compression, plus the onboard limiter. With Manual and Auto Level modes, users can save their favorite settings as presets that capture a signature sound and can be recalled at the click of a mouse.
The Shure MV7 White Noir has all the features and benefits of the original MV7 model, which means it’s equipped with Shure’s Voice Isolation technology which enables the MV7 to be used in spaces where the acoustics are less than ideal. In addition, the hybrid USB and XLR output on the MV7 White Noir makes the MV7 a flexible solution for users no matter where or how they record.
This new version of the Shure MV7 can be bought on its own or as a bundle with matching Shure gear for content creation and streaming. Bundles include the white AONIC 40 wireless noise-canceling headphones, white AONIC 50 wireless noise-canceling headphones, or the white AONIC 4 sound-isolating earphones.
