Jennifer Nettles was honored for her advocacy for women and in bringing diverse voices to the airwaves and Carrie Underwood picked up two more trophies to add to what was already the largest collection of CMT Music Award wins on Wednesday.

Already the most decorated artist in the history of the awards, Underwood won overall Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for “Drinking Alone.”

Gwen Stefani won her first CMT Music Award for a duet with partner Blake Shelton. Chris Young, Dan + Shay and Gabby Barrett were also among the night’s winners.

Nettles received the inaugural Equal Play Award.

“Thank you to all the fans and especially my artists, my sisters out there who continue to burn the holy fire,” Nettles said in accepting the honor. “I am so proud to be a part of this legacy of women in country music with you.”
